Prayer

The Position for Kingdom Possession

Prayer is a basic part of one’s relationship with God. As Christians we enter into a relationship with our Father God. According to the law of genesis, or the law of beginnings, as it is so articulated by Author, Kenneth Copeland in his book, “Our Covenant with God.” This law was put into motion at creation, Kenneth Copeland’s book will continue to help me explain this law. Every living thing was created by God to produce after its own kind, and Man was no exception to this rule. God is a spirit, and Adam was created a spirit-being, in God’s own image and likeness. They walked in close fellowship and communion together. God’s original intent for us, His creation , Adam’s descendants, was for us to live in harmony with God, our spiritual Father.

But when Adam committed high treason, disobeyed God and bowed his knee to Satan, he changed spiritual fathers, God was no longer Adam’s spiritual father, satan became Adam’s spiritual father, and all the dominion and authority God had given to Adam was handed over to Satan. spiritual death-the nature of satan- was lodged in Adam’s heart

Now, this process is reversed when we make the choice to make Jesus the Lord of our life. We are then born from death unto life. The law of spiritual lordship is put back into the hands of God. We then take on a new Lord and receive the nature of our new Lord which is eternal life
After Adam’s fall in the Garden, God needed an avenue back into the earth. He needed some way to break the union between Satan and mankind.

Salvation

Thus, we have salvation, the beginning of a personal relationship with God as our Father thru Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior As Christians grow in spiritual maturity, we hunger for an intimate relationship with Jesus, but at the same time we feel confused over how to go about it. How do you get closer to the invisible God? How do you hold a conversation with someone who doesn’t audibly talk back?
Our confusion begins with the word “intimate,” which has become cheapened because of our culture’s obsession with sex. The essence of an intimate relationship, especially with Jesus, requires sharing. The Holy Spirit unfolds Scripture so it becomes a love letter written specifically to you. The more you desire relationship with Jesus, the more personal that letter becomes.

What Jesus Wants You to Share

When you are intimate with someone else, you trust them enough to share your secrets. As God, Jesus already knows everything about you anyway, but when you choose to tell him what’s hidden deep within you, it proves you trust him.
Trust is hard. You’ve probably been betrayed by other people, and when that happened, maybe you swore you’d never open up again. But Jesus loved you and trusted you first. He laid down his life for you. That sacrifice has earned him your trust.

Many of my secrets are sad, and maybe yours are too. It hurts to bring them up again and give them to Jesus, but that is the path to intimacy. If you want the closest of relationships with Jesus, you have to risk opening your heart. There’s no other way.
When you share yourself in a relationship with Jesus, when you talk to him often and step out in faith, he will reward you by giving you more of himself. Stepping out takes courage, and it takes time. Held back by our fears, we can move beyond them only through the encouragement of the Holy Spirit.
At first, you may notice no difference in your connection with Jesus, but over weeks and months, Bible verses will take on new meaning for you. The bond will grow stronger. In small doses, life will make more sense. Gradually you will sense that Jesus is there, listening to your prayers, answering through Scripture and promptings in your heart. A sureness will come upon you that something wonderful is happening.
Jesus never turns away anyone who seeks him. He will give you every help you need to build an intense, intimate relationship with him.

Beyond Sharing to Enjoying

When two people are intimate, they don’t need words. Husbands and wives, as well as best friends, know the pleasure of simply being together. They can enjoy each other’s company, even in silence.
It may seem blasphemous that we could enjoy Jesus, but the old Westminster Catechism says that is part of the meaning of life:
Q. What is the chief end of man?
A. Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.

We glorify God by loving and serving him, and we can do that better when we have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, his Son. As an adopted member of this family, you possess the right to enjoy your Father God and your Savior as well.
You were meant for intimacy with Jesus. It is your most important calling now, and for eternity.

The work of Jesus on the Cross = Salvation for us if we except HIM!

According to Levitical Law, the high priest was to take an unblemished lamb and offer it as a sacrifice for sin, Jesus of Nazareth served as the final sacrifice under the Abrahamic Covenant. Jesus fulfilled the terms of the Old Covenant and brought a New Covenant into being, a better covenant based on better promises. Jesus died and paid the price to finish that old Abrahamic Covenant. Jesus satisfied it completely (Galatians 3:13-14 KJV)

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

In the Old Testament after they built the tabernacle, they didn’t know God as Father God, they didn’t know Him personally. They had no personal acquaintance with Him. His Presence was kept shut up in the Holy of Holies.
****As the Son of God, Jesus accepted the penalty of death for sin. He was taken illegally by Satan into the bowels of the earth; but God proclaimed, “It is enough!” and Jesus came forth out of hell triumphant in the power of God! The courts of eternal justice were satisfied! Sin was completely remitted, wiped away. God took man’s place and suffered the penalty for breaking the Covenant. Man once again has a legal right to enter the Father’s presence in the Holy of Holies ( Heb. 4:14-16 14Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need).*****

I’m like Dad, Kenneth Hagin when he says, “He may be Judge to the world, and God to the sinner, but He is Father to me.” (Growing up Spiritually pg. 64. Hagan, K.)
